Like their wine selection, their brand had to be an eclectic blend. We capitalized on the “palm” in Palm City (the nickname given to the neighborhood in 1894) to evoke nostalgia without kitsch: the symbol in silhouette spoke to the sophistication of current food and wine culture, while saying “sandals and hoodies welcome” to SF locals seeking out their beloved hoagies. The 1970s’ typeface (making the old new again) gave a low-key vibe to this Sunset district newcomer.
